* * * All good things come in threes * * *

Last week our third weekly german course got under way – a basic course for women. It is nice to see how motivated the participants are and that they are having loads of fun while learning. At this point thank you to Nicole Oysmllr for structuring the lesson with a lot of variety and for putting in her time voluntarily.

Meet one of our volunteers: Sepehr!

Once again we want to introduce one of our many volunteers. This is Sepehr who often joins us and donates his time to L2L projects. He goes to school and has many exams in the last few weeks of the term. Yet he finds the time to volunteer for us because (as he puts it) “we people must all help each other whenever we can.”

In addition to our ‘A1 Beginners Course’ we are now also offering a ‘Basic German Course’ in Schottenfeldgasse 34 – Wiener Hilfswerk. A big thank you goes to Marianne Ma who teaches the course voluntarily. Here are a few impressions of the class and the studious participants. #Learn4Life

Meet one of our volunteers: Ashkan!

“I want to help because I used to be in the same situation not too long ago and I know what it’s like!” said Ashkan who spent more than six months in the Erstaufnahmezentrum Traiskirchen last year, which is where we met him during the summer. He is now living with an Austrian family and has started a traineeship at REWE, while also learning German. He is still waiting for the approval regarding his permanent stay in Austria. In the meantime he is very engaged with LIFE2LIVE and regularly volunteers with our project: ‘Food for people seeking refuge’.

* * * Our First L2L German Course * * *

On saturday we held our first German course in Schottenfeldgasse 34 – Wiener Hilfswerk. Thank you to our lovely voluntary teacher who tutors the A1 course. The participants were very enthusiastic about the course and we hope to increase the amount of course soon.

Meet one of our volunteers: Pedram!

Pedram has been helping us from the beginning. He has been active regularly since the Summer of 2015. We asked him why he is volunteering with us and he answered: “I like to volunteer for an organisation where I know that the help reaches the people in need directly.”

Look back: Food for People Seeking Refuge..

In November 2015, we started our project ‘Food for People Seeking Refuge. We are very proud of the fact that we have continuously carried out this project every week without exception (more than 30 weeks) thanks to the support of our helpful volunteers and our generous donors. We remain very grateful for all the support!

Here a few impressions from the ‘Sport & Fun Halle’!

Meet a L2L team member: Setareh!

She is our ‘Social Media & Communications’ manager and is involved in LIFE2LIVE from the beginning, both behind the scenes and also on site with different projects. When asked why she is so involved Setareh simply answers self-evidently: “Because we are all human and we need help each other.”
